In the spirit of Valentine’s day, let’s talk about giving your email list some lovin’.
One of the email marketing principles I learned from Ben Settle is:
“Share the what, not the how in your emails.”
Or some version of that.
Meaning, an email is a trailer that leads to the main content of the “how.” (i.e. your main offer)
For example:
If I wrote an email for a client promoting their high-ticket offer.
I would share their process, why it works better, and offer proof that it works in the form of testimonials.
No need to give away the farm in the email itself.
But just enough to tease the solution so if they want more info on implementing it…
They would invest in the client’s offer.
Email marketing isn’t meant to be the end all be all marketing solution.
Just the first step into your world that points to your offers that can help people further.
